MPEG Videos for Closed-Circuit Television and/or Video-on-Demand Systems
Healthy Roads Media has received numerous requests for our materials to be available in a format that could be used in closed-circuit television or video-on-demand systems. Many hospitals, large clinics, educational systems and social service agencies use these systems to provide information to their clients or patients. Healthy Roads Media has converted approximately thirty topics into an MPEG video format that will work in these systems. To cover the costs of this effort and maintain the resources, a small fee is requested for these files. There is an option to download one free video to test it in your system. More iPod Videos
An effort to get more of the materials into iPod video format is underway and a number of new topics have been added already. These appear to be one of the most useful formats based on the numbers of files that are being accessed. Please tell us how you are using these materials!

Coumadin/warfarin Series
A ten part series that presents information about the medication Coumadin or warfarin is now available in both English and Spanish. The content is adapted from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) effort to provide clear information to patients about taking these anticoagulants (blood thinners). The materials are available in 5 formats and in MPEG versions for video-on-demand hospital systems.

SpeakUP - Help Prevent Errors in Your Care
This is a two part topic written by the Joint Commission to help encourage patients to speak up and ask questions about their healthcare. The information is currently available in English, Spanish and Somali.

Arabic Emergency Preparedness Materials
The 20 topic emergency preparedness series is now available in Arabic. It is also available in English, Bosnian, Somali and Spanish. All materials are available in five formats - handouts, audio, multimedia, web-video and iPod video.

Mental Health (Suicide) Topic
A Bosnian version of the mental health topic of Suicide is now available. The content is from the MedlinePlus Health Topic Introductions. This material is also available in English, Spanish, Somali and Russian.
